Good Android Tablets

After three years, the tablet you buy today may already be out of date and you do not therefore want to spend more than 150€ for a tablet under these conditions. But not every cheap tablet is necessarily interesting: don’t buy anything! Follow our tips to save smartly while enjoying a high-performance device!

Preliminary remark:

Many of you want to buy a tablet at a low cost, but sometimes it is better not to compromise on quality if you don’t want to pay back behind. Many Chinese tablets are very poorly designed and have little or no after-sales service. For example, avoid tablets of unknown brands (or tablets sold in some supermarkets) that you will see have a very large category in our forum because of the problems they cause. In general, learn to read a technical data sheet and check that it is compatible with the Google Play Store.

Amazon Fire

Amazon tablets do run on Android, and even if their interface is heavily modified, you can still install Android applications without any worries. In our price range, you can buy the Fire : here is another 7 inches, with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels (171 pixels per inch). If you want a compact, simple and efficient side tablet, the Fire will perfectly fulfil its mission. For the model without advertisements, you will have to pay an additional 15€ on the purchase price, i.e. 85 euros.

Huawei MediaPad T3

This time, Huawei offers a more accessible tablet. The MediaPad T3 benefits from an ODR of 30 euros, allowing it to fall below 140 euros. It is also one of the few 10-inch tablets to be offered at this price. The MediaPad T3 comes with Android Nougat and 16GB of internal memory. The manufacturing is also very well done. This is clearly one of the best deals on this list!

Acer Iconia One 10 B3-A30-K4QY

Quite simple in its design and conception, it perfectly fulfils its mission as a tablet. Its larger screen will be ideal for watching videos. Like the other tablets in this ranking, it will offer you very reasonable performance, with an autonomy that will not run out of steam in a few hours.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 7″

Launched in 2016, the Galaxy Tab A6 is an honest and serious tablet with a rather flattering definition for a 7-inch screen. If this tablet does not stand out for its originality or its functionalities, it is sufficient for simple uses (internet navigation, a few games, videos…) thanks to a sufficiently fast processor (4 cores Cortex-A53 at 1.3 GHz). Another advantage is that it is signed by a major brand and the after-sales service, in case of problems, is easily insured. The main flaw is his version of Android which is a little dated.

Lenovo Tab 4 X304F

If it’s not my favorite from the list, Lenovo Tab 4 X304F has a 10 inch display with a good resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and good sound quality. In the absence of Android Oreo or Pie, we have Android Nougat which is relatively effective. The tablet is also sufficient for basic uses but its limits can be quickly reached because of a rather limited RAM.

Small Price Tablets

Amazon Fire HD 8 (2018)

The 2018 Fire HD 8 is the evolution of the 2017 model, although the changes are very slight. Its price is still as attractive as ever since it is displayed at less than 100€ for the 16GB version and remains one of the best tablets of the moment. Its only flaw is the FireOS interface, which does not use Google’s services, but Amazon’s. So there is no Play Store, no applications like Play Music or Play Films. Note that the 2018 model is almost identical to the 2017 model, except that the Android version goes from 5.1 to 7.1.

In our test, the Fire HD 8 scored 3.5/5. Only Amazon sells it directly on its shop:

If your budget cannot exceed 100€, we advise you to choose the Fire 7″. Smaller, it remains very close to the Fire HD 8. Its price is 69.99€ for the basic model. It couldn’t be more affordable!
